Group Living Accommodation:
Our supported group living home is designed to provide maximum comfort and stability for young people that present with a range of needs. This includes the need for intensive one to one support, whenever required.
Our homes are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These are homes which have been designed specifically to provide a private environment where young people can feel safe, relaxed and where they are able to develop their independence, and start to make their journey into adulthood.
Our home is fully modernised and consists of a living area where young people are able to relax, watch TV and socialise. The kitchen area has been converted into a kitchen lounge where young people are able to enjoy the benefits of a lounge area, but also to develop their independence skills in the form of cookery, cleaning, and self-care. The bedrooms include all of the necessities require to live such as beds, wardrobes and cabinets, along with modernise en-suite bathrooms allowing young people privacy in their safe space. This home is well maintained and has a private garden where young people can enjoy the outdoors and socialise with peers and staff.
The home also has 24 hour CCTV recording.
Accommodation with Floating Support:
We offer a service where we facilitate self-contained apartments and floating support as a pathway to independence. We understand that many young people do not have a strong support network when they leave us, and therefore we are available to support their needs fully.
At Hillside Care, we maintain a positive and supportive relationship with young people to ensure their transition into independence is as smooth as possible. We will ensure that this accommodation is of a good standard and safe, in an area where the young person prefers, and includes all the basic necessities and furniture that is needed to thrive.
We have developed a strong network of local and regional landlords who allow us access to their properties, studios and flat across the Northwest area. This is a service which is ideal for young people who have demonstrated a good level of independence skills, and are ready to live in their own accommodation independently.
One of our support leads will complete a robust assessment which is developed closely with the Local Authority, and will concentrate on the areas of support for the young person, and will focus on their pathway into adulthood. We will include a 6 week post 18 complimentary support to ensure that the transition from care to leaving care is smooth.

- How to set up a new home
- Managing a home and tenancy
- Budgeting, finance management and benefit entitlements
- Daily and essential living
- Personal health management, including the implementation of a healthy diet
- Accessing education, voluntary placements, work placements and social activities in the community
- Careers information and advice
- General support and guidance for independent living
- Personal and emotional matters
We understand the young people also suffer from negative issues in their lives, and therefore our support leads will provide the below tailored support.
This will be completed in-house or by external agencies.

- Drug and alcohol prevention support
- Sexual exploitation risk prevention support.
- Parenting work
- Behaviour management
- Safety planning and risk reduction
- Mental/emotional health support
- Immigration support
